Bio: Derek McGarry is a designer living and working in Dublin, Ireland. He is Head of Innovation and Commercialisation at the National College of Art and Design. McGarry is a Past President of the Institute of Designers in Ireland. He is an elected board member of the Crafts Council of Ireland and also the Rediscovery Centre. He has more than 20 years experience working in academia in Europe and the United States. His design work has been shown internationally and is in several major collections including Queen Elizabeth II, National Museum of Ireland and the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
